FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions

I feel too embarrassed about making a call and having someone into my home, it is such a mess!

This is a feeling many people have. Please do not be embarrassed. I am a professional and have dealt with homes and spaces in various states of chaos and disarray.  I will not be shocked and I am not there to judge you. I work by your side and support you so that together we can make a real difference. Our relationship is strictly confidential.

What should I do to prepare for your visit?

There is nothing you need to do. It’s actually best I see your home in its natural state that way I can better assess your situation and what your needs may be. On our first visit before the physical decluttering begins we discuss your goals and identify the problem areas. We then develop systems that are right for you and that can be maintained long after I have gone. I work by your side to assist you in the decision making process, to motivate you and see you achieve your goals for an organised and clutter free home.

-------

How hands-on does the homeowner need to be?

This is a great question! It all depends on how much the client wants to be involved in entire process. We will work together until the decluttering portion is complete. Then, a client can choose to continue to work with me as I implement the organisation system or they can opt for a grande final reveal. Either way I provide clear guidance on how to use the space moving forward.

-------

Will I be made to throw things away?

While decluttering and downsizing your amount of inventory may be required, you will not be made to part with anything that you don’t want to. I am there to assist and help you make decisions, however the final word lies with you.

-------

Will I need to purchase items to get organised?

Initially and until the decluttering is complete I would not suggest buying any organising/storage items.  After a space is decluttered you can see exactly what you need.

-------

How do I know which package to buy?  Will you tell me how long a project will take?

The amount of time that a project can take is based on so many variables that I will not quote an entire project. This is why I sell packages in 3-hour increments, with additional hours available for top-ups. The number-one factor that affects how long a project will take is the speed at which the client and I can move through the decluttering process.

-------

How do your sessions and packages work?

Sessions are booked in 3-hour blocks.  Should your project require a little extra time, you can purchase an additional hour or two to your already purchased package.

Most projects will likely require more than one session, and for that reason we highly recommend one of our multi-session packages at a lower rate than purchasing each session individually.  Multi-session packages are available in 4, 8, 12 and 24 sessions.  Packages must be paid in full to receive the discount rate.

-------

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a booking?

We appreciate that your time is precious and so is ours therefore, we ask that you give us no less than 24-hours notice should you require to reschedule a booking, and a minimum 7-days notice if you need to cancel.

How did you become a certified organisational specialist™?

I completed a certification course that was created by Cassandra Aarssen, the owner of Clutterbug®. I have been trained in the four organising styles and I will use this knowledge and training when designing and implementing your organisational system.

-------

What are your waiting times like?

I typically book one month out. If you are looking to complete a larger project, I suggest working in 3-6 hour sessions that can be booked weekly on the same day and same time.

What payment methods do you accept?

Direct deposit and Credit card (Mastercard/Visa)
