I've been passionate about organising and decluttering since as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until I became a wife, mother and self employed at home childcare educator that I realised I could turn my administration and organising skills into something that can help others.

They say you either have it or you don't, and it seems that I've always had a passion for organising and creating systems that help to create order, as well as streamlining routine activities and workloads.

Growing up in a large household, I experienced many life lessons about how the effects of hoarding and living with masses of clutter, or being in the state of administrative disorganisation, can impact your life.  My mother was always making up routines and schedules for our family, and I’m sure this is where my passion for organising stemmed.

When I was young, I discovered a love for architecture and home design.  I loved the clean and practical look of the rooms pictured in magazines, and I fondly recall how, as a preschooler, I'd rearrange the interior design of my childhood bedroom every month or so, forever aiming to find the best layout that would suit my changing needs.  As I grew older and eventually moved out of home, I took pride in creating organised spaces and systems in the houses I lived in.

When I entered the workforce, my lifelong love for administration, creating procedures and plans came into fruition.  I would constantly evaluate my work environment, assessing ways that I could improve efficiency with routines even the mundane tasks.  I would analyse, plan and streamline activities that not only helped myself, but also helped my work colleagues and employers.

After ten years of working in the corporate world, I eventually joined the early childhood sector as a family daycare educator.  An industry that requires you to be physically and mentally alert, as well as being administratively organised and compliant with regards to Government regulations.

Having worked in the early childcare sector for over a decade, I take the administrative workload in my stride.  I created handbooks, posters, procedures and many more items with the aim of best managing my business and also helping others.  With my ECEC Diploma and hands-on experience as a practice mentor, I’d visit educators homes and help them set up environments that would bring peace and calm, not only to the educator but to the children.
